Canadian Fiddle Styles Book!
April has teamed up with fiddle player Brian Wicklund to write "Canadian Fiddle Styles" (for the FiddlePal Explore Series published by Mel Bay Publishing). It's not just a tune book, it's a method book, and it's fabulous.  The planned release date is June 1, 2008.

New release coming soon!

April Verch is heading toward the release of her next album during the second quarter of 2008. The project is the first to feature her touring band and includes familiar names like Tim Stafford, Steve Gulley, Craig Market, Larry Cordle, Ron Block, Melonie Cannon, Patty Mitchell and Travis Book among the songwriters and harmony vocalists. There's even one selection on which she's backed by Scott Vestal, Sam Bush and co-producers Stephen Mougin and Jon Weisberger. Stay tuned for sneak peeks, bonus tracks and more details!

 
April's latest recording Take Me Back
Produced by Dirk Powell and recorded in Louisiana, Take Me Back finds April continuing to broaden the scope of her music. This eclectic recording is a testament to April's commitment to and mastery of various fiddle traditions, while it also highlights her interpretations of more contemporary influences.
