Thanks for the great week of fiddling at the Swananoa Gathering this year! What a fantastic teacher you are. Gosh, yer just so talented. You mentioned a gig in Lexington, KY but I didn't see it on your calendar. Will be at LEAF in october with Michael's crew again. Looking forward to catching your show. best, deborah
It was great to see you in Snowbird, UT, in '08. It's cool that you're playing in Logan, UT, in April of '09: I hope to attend that gig. You and your band are simply sensational.
I was working on making gigs happen for you here in Rock Springs and Green River, WY, but they're not going to happen--it's a bit too complicated and expensive to do so for this lowly teacher and folkie, and much simpler to make the three hour drive to see your concert in Logan. (I played in Logan at that Eccles Auditorium many years ago with my pal and sometime pardner Tom May--it went very well and I know the folks over there will love you and your band!)
Happy Trails, all the best, CK

Thank you for another great program last night. You, Cody and Clay do a wonderful job and thanks for trying your first vocal on us - it was a winner. See ya' at the Salem Barn in October.

Hey April, just got home after seeing you at Fire in the Kitchen in Madison, Ct. You were outstanding as always. Can't wait to see when you come to the Sounding Board, in I think you said November. It's a little closer than tonight was. About a hour drive. But, you guys are worth it. Good luck with the rest of your tour & see you again real soon.

Dear April,
Saw your concert Friday in Morristown, N.J., and just want to say: When the duo of Fame and Fortune go hunting for their next beneficiary, I hope they find you. Your talent and showmanship deserve a big reward.
Take care,
John Delery

Looking forward to hearing you play at Spring Gulch this up coming May...I have always enjoyed Bluegrass music...love the fiddle...:)
April: I just got back from your show in Milwaukee (April 17) and was blown away. You truly are a born entertainer who is captivating on many levels: fiddle virtuosity, dance, singing and charm. The charm part is an important ingredient you never want to lose or take for granted. The pair playing with you both complement you and stand out in their own right and just add to the (dare I even say "Experience") with the bass, banjo, guitar, one joke repertoire (I had to look up the spelling on that one) and what do you call them, those blazing balls of fire... You are lucky to have found them (or enslaved them with your Canadian charm!) I bought your cd before you had a chance to come down to sign but did get a chance to get a word in with you just before the second set. The cd is great, but the live "Experience" lives on forever.
You are welcome in Milwaukee any time... Come again soon!

Loved your concert at Traditions. What a great night. We had so much fun, it should last us out the week and bring a smile to our faces to think of this night for a long time to come. Thank you for great music, humor and a great performance.
We recognized you in the Olympic Opening Ceremonies, but were perplexed why there was nothing about it on your website that evening. The "Big Secret" is explained in today's "Pembroke News" (March 4). Well done, April -- you did the Ottawa Valley proud. I remember you performing at the Deep River Yacht Club when you were ~ 16 and saying "that kid is going to be a star". A gold medal performance! Congrats.
I was watching the opening ceremony for the Olympics with my family and when you bounded into the spectacular production I said " that's April Verch , she is doing the Ottawa Valley proud by performing on the world stage" ......and perform you did ! Your scintillating smile, ebullient energy and powerful playing stole the show.
You are to be commended for following your dreams and through hard work, dedication and talent you are making your dreams come true.
Congratulations and best of luck with your career.
Cheers,
Hec Clouthier

Wow April!
Long time no see -- then I turn on the TV for the Olympics and there you are. A flood of memories came rushing back. Wasn't it just last week we were making up routines in the lobbies of local arenas?! Was very proud of you and Canada at that moment. Congratulations.

Terrific show last night at the FLC Community Concert Hall in Durango. I had no idea the treat I was in for. I brought some students over who don't typically listen to bluegrass, but I couldn't have asked for a better show to expose them to the genre of music. They left with a new jaw dropped appreciation. Thank you! (Now when are y'all relocating to Durango, CO again?!?)
Hello and thank you all for a truly uplifting performance last evening at the Livery in Benton Harbor, MI. I was there with my husband and two young sons (we sat directly in front of the stage!). We were all blown away at your pure, golden energy and unbelievable fiddling, singing and dancing talent! I am 44 years old and decided last November to try and learn to play the fiddle. It's a challenge, but you have inspired me to keep going! And hey, I may just start step-dancing too! It looks like you love what you do, and I bet it's quite a work-out! By the looks of your toned arms and unstoppable stomping, you are in great shape! Beats the treadmill, huh? My husband said his feet would be killing him if he did that dancing!
So thanks to you all of you for a great evening...we are new and true fans! When we prayed last night before bed, my son John, age 12, said, God, please bless all of the people in the band tonight. Amen to that!
Thank you!
Margaret
p.s. Your song Slipping Away was a tear-jerker for me...seeing our sons grow up is a bittersweet part of my life right now.
